This program is specifically designed for young children ages 5-12 years of age, boys and girls. Children will learn physical skills that improve balance and coordination, simple self-defense techniques tailored to their size and ability, awareness to avoid unsafe situations, alternatives to violence, dealing with bullies or strangers and child abduction safety in an age and gender approriate approach.
Role playing is a key part of class to instill the proper reaction to scenarios that a young child can perform without thinking.
Parents are encouraged to observe and participate in class to ensure their child can perform the techniques and to help them practice away from class.
Parents are also invited to participate in 3rd party intervention techniques in order to help their child or another in an unsafe situation.
